What do you like best about New York -- the borough/town you are representing?

Long Island! I like the beaches and the food and the sense of community from my town.

What is the most fun thing you have ever done? 

I met Lil Bub. (She’s this famous internet cat who I love more than anything in the world.) I cried so hard with absolute joy.

How did you get interested in music in the first place?

I’ve sung my entire life, and I’ve written poetry ever since I could string words together. When I entered high school I picked up a guitar and pretty much taught myself what chords and notes sounded good together, and have written ever since.

Why do you deserve to be the next "Star of the Day"? 

I deserve to be the next Star of the Day because music is all I want to do with my life. It’s the most beautiful, empowering thing and I’m so blessed to have found it at such a young age. I want to be able to perform in front of as many people as humanly possible, so that I can speak about the things that matter to me on the largest platform I could get to.
