What do you consider your greatest accomplishment so far?
Finishing my associate and bachelor’s degree before I turned 21. Though I am an artist I value the importance of education and it definitely also improved me as an artist.
How would you describe yourself to someone who does not know you?
A dreamer, someone who is shy, curious and creative. Someone who won’t give up on themselves even when the world does.
What differentiates you from other musicians?
My background, my Nigerian cultural influence and the pure and genuine passion I have for music.
Please tell us a story about yourself.
I was having a down period with my music and I almost felt like maybe I should give up. I prayed and said “God if music is what I am supposed to do, please show me a sign” That night, I posted 15 second videos on my Instagram and tagged the artist on it hoping they would see it. The next morning I woke up to my phone blowing up. The artist actually reposted it and I woke up to more than 500 followers on my page and encouraging comments that I should never stop singing and they loved my voice. From that day, I was 100% positive that music is what I should be doing and giving up was not an option.
